American Splendor remains one of my favorite Fine Line-released films, and I would go so far as to say it's one of the best, and certainly most unusual, biopics ever made. So I particularly enjoyed working on this website, and put particular effort to its comic book look-and-feel, and page-turning navigation effect. Some of us even got to briefly meet the subject of the film, Harvey Pekar.

Visual design derived in part from official digital assets, including: movie poster, movie trailer, and production stills. Some site elements, including the Mac & Windows desktop icons I created from some of the comic book artwork, were included on the American Splendor DVD as a bonus feature.
