This site is an oddity I had nearly forgotten about. The New Line Cinema department typically had two designers on staff, and we alternated which of us would design & build each Fine Line Features or Picturehouse movie promotional site. We were both available when the movie The Invisible Circus arose, and for reasons I don't quite recall, it was decided for us each to work separately on different halves of the site -- literally.
The film itself alternated between two time periods, and I took the left side (the past) and the other designer the right (the present). I think we may even have gone so far as each of us creating a different downloadable screensaver, which now seems like an awful amount of effort to promote a little-seen movie. I don't remember whose idea this was; if it was mine, I apologize, because the whole endeavor was complicated to coordinate.
