We created two official sites for the Picturehouse movie Tristram Shandy: A Cock & Bull Story. One was a satirical meta-commentary on the film-within-a-film nature of the movie, the brainchild of my supervisor, the VP of the New Line Cinema ecommerce and new media department. Two challenges I remember include learning how to handle double-click interactions in ActionScript, and simulating a Microsoft Windows computer when I personally only used Macs.
The other site was a more traditional movie promotional site, albeit highly stylized. I had a great deal of fun coming up with archaic terminology (such as trompe l'oeil for desktop wallpaper and aether-cards for e-cards) and mimicking woodcut prints.
Both were covered by Entertainment Weekly's Popwatch, Urgent Pipe Dream, and Digital Hive.
Visual design derived in part from official digital assets, including: movie poster, movie trailer, and production stills.
