Circa 2008, the Marvel Comics partnered with the Warner Bros. e-commerce department to create and manage their official e-commerce site. At the time, Marvel was having success with its first few feature films, but had not yet been acquired by Disney.
The Marvel Shop was one of Internet Retailer's Hot 100 Best Retail Web Sites of 2010.
