I worked at New Line Cinema during a tumultuous but exciting period for the company, marked by highs and lows such as the ill-fated AOL Time Warner merger and the triumphant Lord of the Rings films.

I was part of the New Media department, which was responsible for all e-commerce and online marketing, including projects for the independent film divisions Fine Line Features and Picturehouse, and New Line's parent company Warner Bros.

In 2008, Warner Bros. shut down New Line Cinema as an independent company, and nearly the entire New York office was laid off. My colleagues and I in the e-commerce department were spared, and became the Warner Bros. e-commerce group.
